Your LifeCare Medical Alert System will be monitored by highly skilled Medical Emergency Operators 24/7 every single day. Even holidays and weekends.
Specially trained Emergency Medical Operators will come on the line over a "True Two-Way Voice Link" through your LifeCare Medical Alert Console to assist you.
On average it takes about 20 to 30 seconds. Part of setting up your LifeCare Medical Alert System is testing the link to an Emergency Medical Operator. That way you can see how long it takes for a response so that you know what to expect.
The LifeCare Medical Alarm System automatically tests the link to the Monitoring Station once per week. You are also encouraged to test your LifeCare Medical Alert System once per month to make sure that everthing is working the way that it should.
You can either push the Cancel Button on your Medical Alert console or wait until an Medical Emergency Operator comes on the line so that you can tell them that you pushed the button by mistake.
They will contact anyone that you have put on your Emergency Contact List. Neighbors, family, friends, your doctor, emergency medical personel etc...
The Emergency Operator will contact whomever you have pre-selected in the event that they are unable to make voice contact with you.
Yes. Your LifeCare Emergency Medical Alert Pendant is water resistant and can be worn in the shower or bathtub.
No. Your LifeCare Medical Alert Alarm System will not affect your phone service. It only uses your phone line in the event of an emergency and very briefly during the weekly test call to the monitoring Station. These calls are toll free and should not appear on your phone bill.
The Personal Medical Alert Pendant has a range of approximatly 400 feet. During the set up of your LifeCare System you will be able to test your system to make sure that the Personal Medical Alarm Pendant will work where you need it to inside and outside of your home. Emergency Medical Operators may not be able to communicate with you from all locations but will follow your predefined instructions when they receive your signal.
Yes. You pay only one monitoring fee and just have to order an additional Personal Medical Alert Pendant for each additional person in the household that requires the use of the LifeCare Medical Alert System.
