Do I have to purchase the Medical Alarm equipment?
No, LifeCare furnishes the medical alert equipment for you to use. All you pay for is the monitoring service. You
even have a choice of three different payment options. Annually, quarterly or monthly.
Does the Medical Alert System equipment have any type of warranty?
Yes, the LifeCare Medical Alert System is covered for repair and replacement for as long as you use our
Medical Alert services. We will repair or replace all parts as long as the system is used as intended.

Will I have to get a special phone?

Will the LifeCare Medical Alert System work if the Electrical power is out?
No, the LifeCare Medical Alarm console simply connects to a phone jack and then your phone plugs
into the LifeCare Console. It is simular to an answering machine configuration. Your phone can be a
regular corded phone or a cordless system.
Medical Alert Systems don't work with VOIP or Cable phone lines. Those types of phone lines work
differently than a regular telephone company provided phone line. In addition, VOIP and cable phone
lines will not work if there is a power outage. Telephone lines which are provided by the Phone
Company (which the LifeCare Medical Alert Systems uses) will work even if there is a power outage.
The Personal Alert Pendants are very durable. In fact, they can withstand being dropped from a
reasonable height without damage. They are also water resistant and can be worn in the bath or
shower, places that you really need to depend on the added safety.
The Personal Emergency Pendants have a long-life lithium battery that lasts up to 4 years. When your
Personal Emergency Pendant battery is getting low it will alert the monitoring center and LifeCare will
send you a new Personal Emergency Pendant at no additional cost to you.
Yes it will. It has a backup battery system that will last a minimum of 32 hours in the event of a power
outage. This ensures worry free operation of your LifeCare Medical Alert System.
Do all medical monitoring services use the same equipment?
No. The LifeCare Medical Alert System uses superior, highly rated equipment manufactured by the
company that pioneered medical alert systems. While this equipment is more expensive than consoles
used by many other medical alert companies, LifeCare only wishes to provide the best equipment
available to it's customers. We know that superior equipment equals increased safety to our customers.

The LifeCare Console plugs into a regular phone jack and electrical outlet. The user wears a Personal Emergency Pendant
which can be pressed in the event of an emergency. There is also a Medical Alert Emergency Button on the TrueLink
Console. When either button is pressed it sends a signal to the monitoring center that alerts an Emergency Medical
Operator. The Emergency Medical Operator will then attempt to communicate with the user by way of a 2-way voice link.
The user will be able to hear the Medical Emergency Operator's voice through a speaker on the LifeCare Console. There is
a sensative microphone on the console that picks up the users voice that the Medical Emergency Operator will hear. The
Medical Emergency Operator has imediate access to medical information that you have provided and will then assess the
situation and contact the appropriate parties in order to give assistance.

Our medical alert system is a senior personal medical alarm including a medical alert device known as a medical alarm
console (sometimes mistakenly called a medical alert phone), the personal medical alert pendant, a wristband which
resembles a watch band and a belt clip. Medical alerts are sent directly to our medical alarm monitoring station in the case of
an emergency. The medical alert devices all have a panic button as your personal senior alarm. This - for your life medical
alert system notifies our central monitoring station of your emergency. Our system is available in all 50 states. American
